BRIEF HISTORY OF DUBAI TOURISM INDUSTRY A ccording to the demographic measurements, Dubai is the most densely populated place as compare to the other emirates within the UAE. The place has been identified as one of the largest trade and business centers for the global marketers. In relation to the historical background of Dubai, the export of oil to overseas countries is the primary source for the place to gain economic growth. The primary objectives of the DTCM boards have been oriented towards increasing awareness of Dubai as a favorable and appealing tourist destination through continuous development of its tourism sector, with the intention to increase inward investment within the emirates. Moreover, the board is also identified to empower with adequate responsibility of conducting marketing and promotional activities of Dubai’s tourism sector.
